December Business Meeting Updates:
We voted in a new Facilitator and a new Events Lead starting in January. Both will be mentored by the outgoing volunteers. Two existing volunteers have shifted into new roles and will take up Communications Lead and Finance Lead.
We still seek a Records Lead (to take notes at meetings and manage our documents) and a WSO Representative (to represent our Intergroup at World Services and to bring WSO info back to us.)
Next business meeting is the third Sunday in January at 6 PM on our Zoom.
December 2024: WE NEED YOU! Service roles rotate at the end of the year. New volunteers will be mentored through the first 3 months of the new year into these roles - you will not be alone! Please consider doing service for ACA NY Intergroup!
Dec 2, 2024: We had a great event on Sat, Nov 30th exploring recovery using the Loving Parent Guidebook. Thank you Megan, Alice, Kelly, Kai and Kristian for organizing, hosting, and leading the event. We had about 50 participants.
November 2024: Our business meeting for November is moved to the 4th Sunday of the month - to Nov 24th at 6 PM. Email greaternewyorkaca@gmail.com for information.
November 2024: We are excited to have an event planned for the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend - Nov 30th. The focus will be the work we can do to explore our inner loving parent. We have rented space at the NYC LGBTQ+ Center on W 13th St in Manhattan. We begin at 11 AM and end at 4 PM. Details are on the Events page.
October 2024: Current officers of the ACANYIG intend to finish their terms of service at the end of 2024 and seek replacements. They are willing to work with new officers through the first three months of 2025 to help new people acclimate to the roles. Of course all roles take on the personality of those who take them - we encourage that - but we are also here to assist and guide as a loving parent would.
